Glykosylierungen des Thyroxin-bindenden Globulins
Removal of N-glycosylation consensus sequences in hTBG-gene (SERPINA7-gene) results in no alteration in protein folding and binding of T4 . Destroying of all five N-glycosylation sites at once in the amino acid chain inhibits completely the export into the extracellular space but contrary any kind of glycosylation is actually basic and obviously needed for export from the cell. Non-glycosylated TBG is not exported into the medium.

Abstract

Removal of N-glycosylation consensus sequences in hTBG-gene (SERPINA7-gene) results in no alteration in protein folding and binding of T4 . Destroying of all five N-glycosylation sites at once in the amino acid chain inhibits completely the export into the extracellular space but contrary any kind of glycosylation is actually basic and obviously needed for export from the cell. Non-glycosylated TBG is not exported into the medium.
