EARS. Ein Hörprüfverfahren für Kinder
This doctoral thesis deals with the auditory assessment battery EARS which has been developed for children with a cochlear implant. The thesis is devided into two parts: in the first part (chapter 1-6), several test batteries are presented. In particular, EARS (Evaluation of Auditory Responses to Speech) is being introduced. This battery has been developed in cooperation with the author of this thesis. The second part (chapter 7-9) contains a study that points out the usability of EARS for young children. Finally, some changes of parts of EARS are suggested in order to improve the assessment tool for the use with children under the age of four years.
